All Weekday School children participate in our motor skills program. The program is designed to encourage large motor development in our students through age appropriate activities. Child activities will aid in development of the child’s awareness and sense of balance, their flexibility, hand-eye coordination , foot-eye coordination,and laterality and directionality in their body movements. Focus is on mastering a skill, rather than "winning" a game. Music and laughter sprinkled into the mix make this a favorite class for all students.
Music
Peek in our music class and you will see children singing, dancing, and playing instruments. Every effort is made to expose children to music of different cultures and seasons. Children will be introduced to both traditional tunes and more contemporary styles of music. As children become older, they learn about instrument types, musical concepts, notes, etc.
