NAEYC--National Association for the Education of Young Children
The Children’s WeekdaySchool has once again been honored with the distinction of being one of only a handful of schools in the Houston area who are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The WeekdaySchool is, in fact, the only Pre-school among the many top-notch schools along Memorial Drive to be able to claim this status in 2010.
Founded in 1926, NAEYC is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for children from birth through age 8. NAEYC expects its accredited institutions to go above and beyond in every way to provide the highest quality of care and instruction. The Weekday School’s families, teachers, and staff have all worked together to earn this honor, and they have dedicated themselves to continuing to create a family-friendly atmosphere where children learn and thrive—where they are well-loved and inspired to think, create, and play.
